Precautions when using a USB flash drive for the update
When using a USB flash drive, it is recommended to format the flash drive before downloading the update files
USB flash drive is recommend as it is single partitioned
When downloading the files, make sure the vehicle model is correct before starting the download process
If the wrong model is chosen, your navigation system may not function properly after the update
If multiple USB flash drives are connected to the PC, please select the correct media to install the map
Disconnect the USB flash drive only after confirming the download process is complete
Disconnecting the USB flash drive during the download process can lead to corrupt files
Modifications and aftermarket components such as rear view camera may not operate normally after the update
Precautions for installing updates to vehicles
To start and procced with software installation, the navigation system must be turned on in ‘ON’ mode
It is recommended you proceed with the update with sufficient battery charge
Navigation system may shut down if you start the engine when it is already in ‘ON’ mode with download process ongoing
The system may not work properly if the navigation system shuts down or if you disconnect the USB flash drive during the update procedure
How to turn on the ‘ON’ mode
Pressing the START button twice without applying the brakes will turn it on, and the electronics in the vehicle can be operated without initiating the engine
